During a career spanning 20 years, Shiv has held senior positions at Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns and JP Morgan. Shiv has financed, provided growth capital advice and made principal investments across sectors such as structured credit (investment grade bonds, emerging market loans, leveraged loans), real estate (commercial, retail & government facilities), asset management, energy, insurance and technology.

Shiv has played a key role in and closed over 40 transactions during his career. He founded and built JPMorgan’s European Private Equity Advisory business where he advised on over $1.5bn of transactions. Shiv later went on to build out JP Morgan’s structured credit origination and placement capability in North America. Shiv later joined Merrill Lynch to help build its market leading Structured Finance/correlation business.

Shiv’s earlier experience includes control oriented principal investments in UK commercial property, UK healthcare and European government leased property. While deputed at investee companies, Shiv was involved in refinancing, follow-on platform investments and managing investment exits.

Shiv qualified as a Chartered Accountant while working with Ernst & Young in London and studied Economics at St Stephen's College, University of Delhi. Shiv was a student of Modern School, New Delhi.
